The weapons we use define our power to create or destroy.

This piece illustrates a 357 Magnum through chaotic "blasts" of paint organized by color. Each bullet represents the colors that I use as my weapons.

The weapons we use define our power to create or destroy. With the right weapon you have the ability to create beauty and destroy negative perceptions. Unfortunately as we move away from arts programs in education we take away many children's ability to express their power. Power can easily be grasped with guns, but allowing art to be a weapon can be a stronger force for the present and future. Let's attempt to give the youth more bullets of color, words, dance, and motion. Art will not completely stop gun violence but it's better to have brushes than revolvers. In the debate about guns in this country, the part of the conversation that is left out is what other weapons can we make more available than guns. We need to equip our world with other "weapons". This piece illustrates a 357 Magnum through chaotic "blasts" of paint organized by color. Each bullet represents the colors that I use as my weapons.
